The master plan for the Knolls at Hillcrest needed to embody a sense of village-inspired connections and amenities for active adults over the age of fifty. Place Architecture crafted the entire community plan, incorporating the logistics of ADA design guidelines, full concierge services, and community center. Parks and natural pathways are also interwoven throughout to increase the connection between Knolls community venues and nearby downtown Bozeman.
For the home spaces in this development, Place created eight unique residential designs that embody a modern cottage feel and complement Bozeman’s historic architecture. Beginning with four model homes, a choice of two to three bedrooms, along with a property design that includes a guest cottage, makes it possible to accommodate a wide range of personal preferences for hosting guests and enjoying one’s own private rustic retreat. A unique zero lot-line design creates semi-private yards that allow for a variety of public and private interaction.
