Rocky Mountain Rustics (RMR) called on Place Architecture to design a mixed use commercial building in the Big Sky Town Center. Approximately 30,000 square feet, the three-floor building design comprises three ground-level retail suites along with twelve private offices above.
The project needed to strictly adhere to Big Sky Town Center design guidelines. Yet RMR requested that Place strive to craft distinguishing elements as well. Through innovative troubleshooting and design solutions, Place met and achieved that challenging objective.
The final design incorporated unique materials including bonderized metal, steel railings and stacked stone. Meanwhile Hardiplank™ and board-and-batten siding along with exposed timber supports blend well with surrounding Town Center structures.
