Rocky Mountain Bank occupies a 8,500 square foot banking facility, which includes offices, a drive up, and ATMs. The Place Architecture designed building occupies a prominent location in front of the Gallatin Valley Mall, at a major gateway to the Bozeman area.
The interior spaces feature a timber-frame design, high vaulted ceilings, and generous use of cherry wood trim. The timber framing utilizes recycled timbers with up-lighting to highlight the drama of the framing. The office spaces are secluded and acoustically isolated from the large public spaces, yet provide quality views to the Hyalite and Bridger Mountains.
This project received an Honor Award from the Montana Chapter, American Institute of Architects, in 1998.
